Who we are: we are Twin Colombian sisters and founders of M.I.A.R company Ltd, our logo is  Twins Flavour Liverpool.

We have been living in Liverpool since 2016. We instantly fell in love with this beautiful city and decided to stay here for good.

How twins flavour started?

We were born in Colombia and developed a passion for food from our grandmother who we would spend a lot of time cooking with. Her house always smelled delicious, she used to toast and grind her own coffee, slow cook delicious stews and infuse her food with rich, spicy sauces.

Due to our passion for cooking, both of us work as head chefs in Liverpool city centre. This has allowed us to develop good knowledge about health and safety standards and kitchen management as well as strong working relationships with local suppliers. ( Arbour, Mckuhen, etc..)

During the Pandemic, as we were unable to work, we decided to stop complaining and use our passion and knowledge to try to bring a little happiness to the people of Liverpool and the local Latino community with our delicious taste of Colombia.

We started our business at home cooking small portions of typical Colombian dishes (following all safety standards). We gave these to our friends to try and word quickly spread then we started to participate in food festivals  and pop up in a different venues in the city centre (Shenanigans, the old bank, Jürgen’s) due to the success of these,  we opened our own catering business company and now we are ready to settle down, and this place is perfect for us.

Since the beginning of the pandemic we have watched the Latino community in Liverpool grow rapidly. We are passionate about helping this community to integrate with the city effortlessly whilst providing a home away from home. This would be the perfect place to do this, as it is in the heart of the city centre, and would not only provide a safe space for the Latin community to come and eat authentic food, but will also be a niche market for other communities in the city to explore our culture.

We opened  a family restaurant which me and my sister can run, with opening hours between 12 am until 10 / 11pm, in these hours we’d like to offer to all types of customers our tasty Colombian menu for lunch and dinner.

One of our signature dishes is empanadas, empanadas are a typical street food famous throughout Colombia and South America with each country having its own version.

Our Colombian empanadas are a deep-fried corn flour pastry stuffed with pulled beef breakfast, chicken or veggie ingredient, potato and a rich tomato Colombian sauce.

You can’t just eat one specially if you try it with our select of hot sauces (aji).
